"The world has enough for the needs of all, but not for the greed of all."
❤️ You are cordially invited to our 1st meeting after the summer break on Sunday 8th September at 16.00 in the garden above the Casa Cultura / Ayuntamiento. 🎉
We all bring something tasty 🥑🍊🧇 as well as cutlery, plates and glasses.
Are you looking for guitar lessons, a massage, someone to accompany you to the doctor, someone to help you with transport from time to time?
Can you cook vegetarian food, do yoga or look after the dog? You can find offers and requests in the Kairos Exchange Market.
These are published in the online newspaper. As a member of the community, you can exchange time with all members.
You don't know what to do with all the cauliflower from your garden because you can't possibly eat that much of it? In exchange you would like some eggs and bread or some new books to read?
The exchange of goods takes place on a 1:1 basis. You can negotiate the terms and conditions yourself, what is worth how much to you.
For more details, see The Rules.
You need a drill, but don't feel like buying one because you would rarely need it anyway? That's good, it saves resources, yours and the earth's.
Here you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions.
Who can participate?
Anyone can join.
What can be exchanged?
All resources that you would like to offer can be exchanged. Watering flowers, repair work, language lessons, shopping for someone, massage, reading to the sick, accompanying someone to the doctor or to the office... the ideas are as varied as the talents of those who join in.
How can I join in?
You can find all information here.
Who sets the rules?
We are organised on a grassroots democratic basis. Decisions are made by majority vote. Click here for the rules.
Where can I find offers and requests?
You can find permanent offers and requests for time exchange in the announcements and sporadic offers and requests in the messages.
How can I get in touch?
If you would like to know more about why we founded the time-sharing exchange, or if you would like to set up such a group yourself, please write to us at kontakt@kairos-gomera.eu.
How does direct exchange and arrangements take place?
The messages and the WhatsApp/Telegram groups serve the general exchange and the organisation of regular meetings, once a month. In addition, you will find the announcement of the next meeting at the top of our homepage and, a little below that, in the news, the most recently changed advertisements and messages.
